Last month saw some huge jackpots won at casinos along the Las Vegas Strip.
A slot player at Hurrah’s turned $1.25 into more than $939,000 while playing a few days before Thanksgiving. The jackpot was on a 25-cent IGT “Wheel of Fortune 3D” game. The winner has asked to remain anonymous but to hit the jackpot they will have bet the maximum five coins.
The jackpot has now reset to $200,000. Normally IGT progressive jackpots offer a lump sum payment less than the actual jackpot or players can choose to receive annual instalments over a number of years.
IGT’s Megabucks jackpot was last hit in August and the player won $11.8 million at the Fremont in downtown Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, a woman from Texas was playing a Wheel of Fortune slot at the Paris last month when she hit a $1.2 million jackpot. Sylvia Tejeda from San Antonio was on holiday in Las Vegas when she hit the huge payout. After winnings she said she was “happy, going crazy and in shock”.
There are still plenty of progressive jackpots available along the Strip so don’t worry if you are planning a holiday in the near future. The Wheel of Fortune Special Edition is currently offering over $3 million while the Five Dollar version is offering over $2.4 million and the Dollars version is offering over $1 million.
Each year there are a number of big jackpot wins in Las Vegas and Caesars Entertainment alone has created over 770 millionaires in the last three decades. It is certain that there will be many more winners in the year ahead.
