Earlier this month a woman from Texas won a $787,842 jackpot playing on a penny slot machine at Harrah’s in Las Vegas.
She was playing Willy Wonka: World of Wonka slots and was the second person to win a jackpot in less than three months. In June, a player at the casino won a jackpot of $944,337 according to Caesars Entertainment. Furthermore, according to Caesars, since April, players have hit more than nine jackpots of $100,000 or more at various Caesars resorts in Las Vegas.
The woman who chose to remain anonymous is not the only casino visitor to hit it lucky in Nevada casinos this month. Last week a man called Roger hit a $10 million Megabucks progressive jackpot playing at Fiesta Henderson, not far from Las Vegas.
The man said that he plays at the casino almost every day and plays the same machine regularly. He said that on his first spin he won $20 and then played four more spins on the last of which he hit the jackpot.
Speaking to the Las Vegas Review Journal he said, “I’ll probably spend most of it on alcohol, women and gambling. The rest of it I’ll waste.”
Roger has said that he is retired and that with the exception of telling his son, he plans to keep his win a secret.
When he hit the jackpot he spun five Megabucks eagles and the machine flashed “Please call an attendant”. A woman then came over and told him that he had hit the massive jackpot.
A spokesperson for the company that operates the casino said that they are thrilled for the winner.
