With Christmas and the New Year approaching, it is set to be a packed month in Las Vegas with a fantastic selection of shows, concerts, and other events to enjoy. Read on to discover some of the highlights for the coming weeks.
December 7th – 8th: George Strait
The King of Country is coming back to the T-Mobile Arena this month together with special guests Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen.
Strait has sold more than 68.5 million records and has 33 different platinum or multi-platinum albums. He has more No. 1 hits that any other artists in history and recent years have seen a huge increase in his song writing activity. Amazingly, he is the only artist of any genre to have a top ten hit every year for thirty years. Unsurprisingly, Strait has won numerous awards and he is the current CMA Entertainer of the Year. December 11th: WWE Smack Down Live
If you are more interested in sports than music then the WWE Smack Down Live event promises to be an evening not to be missed.
It will be a double main event featuring WWE Champion AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton, The Miz and United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura! As well as Charlotte Flair vs Smack Down Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. It promises to be an action packed evening full of thrilling bouts in the ring and one that no spectator will forget. December 29th: UFC 232 Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson II
UFC fans are in for a treat. Back in 2013 Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson had a fight that is considered to be one of the greatest UFC fights of all time. They are finally meeting again in a UFC 232 main even that will decide who gets to wear the light heavyweight championship belt. The event will also feature a Superfight to round off the championship double-header with featherweight champion Cris Cyborg taking on bantamweight titleholder Amanda Nunes in a clash that could easily make women’s MMA history. December 30th – 31st: Bruno Mars & Boyz II Men
If you are looking for a special way to celebrate the New Year then look no further than T-Mobile Arena’s 24 Karat Magic New Year’s event. The multi Grammy award-winning superstar Bruno Mars will be joined by the special guests Boyz II Men to bring in 2019. December 5th: Holiday Havoc with 30 Seconds To Mars, Bishop Briggs, Robert DeLong and More
Las Vegas’ X107.5 radio Holiday Havoc, presented by the Dollar Loan Center is returning for the first night of its biggest year yet on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Park Theater at Park MGM. This year’s line-up includes Thirty Seconds to Mars together with special guests Bishop Briggs, Robert DeLong, grandson and The Crystal Method.
If you think that sounds good, then you can catch another night of Holiday Havoc at the Pearl Concert Theater on Thursday, December 6th. The second night of the festival will feature 311, Young the Giant, Iration, Dreamers, and Barns Courtney.
December 15th: Kane Brown
The country musician Kane Brown will be at the Park MGM for one night only this month. Since he released his first full-length album in December 2016, and deputed at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums, Brown has been going from strength to strength.
Brown became the first artist ever to be No. 1 on all five of Billboard’s main country charts simultaneously. His self-titles album, Kane Brown, has so far enjoyed five weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums, including three consecutive charts in January 2018.

December 28th, 30th & 31st: Lady Gaga Enigma + Jazz & Piano
The six-time Grammy award winner, Golden Globe award winner, and Academy Award nominee superstar Lady Gaga is launching her Las Vegas residency at the Park MGM towards the end of this month.
Her residency is set to consist of two separate show, Lady Gaga Enigma, which is a brand-new odyssey of her pop hits built in to a true Vegas experience, and Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano, a more intimate experience where she will perform stripped-down versions of her hits together with music from the Great American Songbook.

December 6th – 15th: Rodney Carrington
As part of his Here Comes The Truth tour, the comedian, actor and writer Rodney Carrington will be returning to the MGM Grand during the National Finals Rodeo with his hilarious stand-up comedy show.
Carrington first rose to fame when he was signed by Mercury Records Nashville in 1998. His first comedy album was noted for both its vulgarity and hilarity. Since then he has gone on to produce numerous albums including “Morning Wood,” “Nut Sack,” “El Niño Loco” and “King of the Mountains.”

December 30th: Dave Chappelle & John Mayer
The comedian Dave Chappelle and the musician John Mayer are teaming up for one night for a special hybrid show in Las Vegas. The show, called Controlled Danger, will feature a solo musical set from Mayer and a solo comedy set from Chappelle. They will then join each other on stage in the second half for songs, stories and more.
The two have performed similar shows across North America to great success. They are known for converting the stage into a cocktail lounge, creating a tavern vibe. December 5th, 7th, 8th, & 11th: Florida Georgia Line & Mason Ramsey
The world-class entertainers Florida Georgia Line are in Vegas for a limited time this month at Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood. The shows will feature a set list that spans their history of hit making, together with new songs from their eagerly anticipated fourth studio album. The shows will open with Big Loud Records and Atlantic Records artist Mason Ramsey and Tree Vibez music writer Canaan Smith.

December 19th – 31st: Criss Angel Mindfreak
If you enjoy watching illusionists then you are in for a treat this month in Las Vegas. The biggest name in the genre is taking his show to a new level at Planet Hollywood. Criss Angel is bringing his stunning Mindfreak show back to the place where it all began.
Speaking about the new show Angel said, “It’s amazing to be back home at Planet Hollywood, where I began MINDFREAK in 2005. As that TV series changed the trajectory of magic on television, I believe my new show will do the same for live performance, creating a brand-new immersive experience that the world of entertainment has never had.”
The latest version of the show will include more than 75 illusions, including over 20 that have never been seen before. It will feature new videos, pyrotechnics, lighting effects, and even interactive elements that will make the show more immersive than ever before.
The show has been described as “an entirely new approach to magic” by the president of entertainment at Caesars Entertainment, Jason Gastwirth, and it looks set to be an event not to be missed.

December 5th: Dom Kennedy
Dom Kennedy is coming to the Hard Rock Hotel, Las Vegas as part of his Win or Lose Tour. The fiercely independent rap artists, who has turned down record deals from some of the biggest record companies in order to remain independent, is enjoying a hugely successful tour.
He made his name as a mixtape master, and has put together nine of them in the last ten years. The recordings, together with his independently produced albums, are a representation of the streets of L.A. together with the West Coast party vibe that SoCal is known for.

December 13th: Queen Naija
Queen Naija has been singing since she was three and writing songs since third grade. Over time, her focus shifted from music and her and her former husband rose to fame with their YouTube channel. However, since the marriage fell apart, Queen Naija has returned to her lifelong passion for song and released a hugely successful single, “Medicine”.
After the success of Medicine, Queen began work on her debut EP for Capitol Records that is set to feature a selection of songs that showcase her unique talents. She is now on tour promoting the forthcoming album and the concert is set to be an amazing experience. If you have ever watched Queen Naija, then this is an event not to be missed.
December 14th: Gary Allan
The Country Great Gary Allan will once again be performing in Vegas after having played for sold out audiences in 2016 and 2017. It has been five years since he released his album Set You Free, his first No.1 album on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and his second country albums chart topper. The album resulted in three singles and since then, he has released a number of singles from his tenth studio album.
Allan’s shows are always a fantastic experience and any fan of country music visit Las Vegas at the time should do their best to see him live.
December 30th & 31st: Tenacious D
What could be a better way to bring in the New Year than with Tenacious D? Jack Black and Kyle Gass have been playing together for years and no one dreamed that they would grow to be so successful. They have had a television series, platinum selling albums, feature films, and more. They will be bringing in the New Year with a show packed with laughs, music and all round good fun. The concert starts at 10pm and is the perfect way to celebrate 2019.
December 6th: Brockhampton
Brockhampton is a self-described “boy band” that fuse pop and rap.
They released three independent albums before they were signed by RCA Records earlier this year. Their first major release for the label, Iridescence, came out earlier this year and has enjoyed huge success. Anyone who has already heard them are sure to have a great night listening to them perform their latest hits live.
December 14th: Luke Combs with Drew Parker and Jobe Fortner
Luke Combs appeared on the country music landscape with three consecutive No. 1 hit radio singles. He is a multi-platinum singer and songwriter and has already won a number of awards. Joining him is Drew Parker who has been performing since the age of three. He has recently opened for artists including American Idol runner-up Bo Bice, A-List country artist Craig Campbell, among many others. In 2013, Parker was nominated for Georgia-Country Semi-Finals for Male Artist of the Year in 2013. Finally, also on the stage will be Jobe Fortner, a singer-songwriter who was raised on southern rock and country. He has opened for artists such as Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Frankie Ballard, Riley Green, Keith Anderson, The Steel Woods, Muscadine Bloodline and The SteelDrivers.
December 15th: Kip Moore & Jon Pardi
Kip Moore has made the journey from struggling Nashville musician to a massive country superstar. His 2012 debut album “Up All Night” and his second album “Wild Ones” have both been critically acclaimed. His third album, “Slowheart” in 2017, has also enjoyed a huge amount of success.
Joining Moore will be Jon Pardi, a fast rising country music star. His gold-certified 2016 album “California Sunrise” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, earning him CMA New Artist of the Year and ACM New Male Vocalist of the Year. Pardi dominated the top of the country music charts with consecutive No. 1 hits, including “Dirt On My Boots”, the platinum-selling “Head Over Boots” and “Heartache On The Dance Floor.”

December 22nd: Thom Yorke
Thom Yorke, the Radiohead frontman, together with Nigel Godrich and the visual artist Tarik Barri, will be performing songs spanning his solo works “The Eraser” and “Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes”, as well as Atoms For Peace’s “Amok”. Joining them will be Oliver Coates.
Yorke’s work with Godrich and Barri has been widely praised with Uproxx saying, “Youtube clips of the performance can’t do justice to just how breath-taking and engrossing it all was… Yorke’s commitment to his solo material might be exactly what he wanted, allowing him to blow audiences away with a fully-realized, immersive, and often breath-taking show.”
